When I had my B&B up north, the local deli used to get me this handmade wood smoked bacon from southern QLD somewhere, guests used to rave over it, the best bacon I've ever seen, (and have i seen and cooked some bacon in my time!) gonna have to try and track it down methinks.



This will be another food quest along with finding a decent dim sim in QLD (is there such a thing?).

I grew up on a farm where my Dad used to make our own bacon. Still remember the old smoke shed where it was my job to keep the wood chips a smoking.

Now that was the best bacon I have ever come across (not that I'm biased) .... 

Yep REAL bacon!! Before it became politically incorrect to eat anything with a fat in it!!

YEP AND I BET IT WAS CUT 1QUARTER INCH THICK NOW THATS REAL BACON NOT THIS SHAVED STUFF WE GET NOW
