anybody ever replace the standard indicator switches/start button and kill switch setups to something better looking and better functioning? surely there is an aftermarket solution that's awesome -- anybody have one? mine are clunky, old looking and annoy me:

Give me a shout if you know any good motorcycle detailers in the Westchester area.

Not on my Monster, but on my Bandit I wired in a Streetfighter switch on the left and a Motogadget M-Switch on the right (plus an aftermarket throttle housing).  Any momentary switch that replaces a non-momentary one will need relays.  It's not too difficult.

You could drill holes in your bars and run micro switches in them. Many of the chopper/bobber clan have done this successfully.

i'm thinking about the streetfighter switches -- gotta check them out next time i'm up at rockwell's or on the track monday when ducati gives me a new one to test out!  [thumbsup]

The motogadget m-switches are dead sexy.

The downside is they can't handle much current and I had to pair mine with an m-unit controller (and wiring that up on an FI bike is a lot of work)

You could also use relays, but again, it can be a PITA if you're also doing high/low beams and turn signals.
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...
