Thanks man, like the changes you made to your bike to. Those oberon bar end signals are clean looking. What do you think about them?

Thanks!  And I truly Love the the oberon bar ends!  The only thing i noticed about them since ive owned them (about 2 weeks after buying the bike) is that the small screws that hold the light on the bar end adapter tend to vibrate out.  Ive used loctite on them multiple times and finally reverted to superglue. :P  BUT that being said if for some reason they do come loose they just wiggle around in place till you get home to fix it.  (Thats assuming you made sure the wiring was secured right)  [thumbsup] I guess my only complaint would be it makes my clipons look really wide but with some adjustment that could be fixed. I bought the lights from monsterparts.com..... good guys there...

Still have not decided on the turn signals for the front of the bike, might use those. I ordered a bunch of parts through Jeff at monster parts. He seems like a nice guy. Will probably be ordering some more parts from him soon  ;D

Update:

Not sure if you guys would be interested in the other stuff I am working on at the shop right now, but here is what we got. Let me know if you want more updates like this, or if you want to keep this strictly about my Monster.

My friends 25 foot Warlock go fast boat. We're redoing the interior, putting in a new powertrain, and some fiberglass / gel coat work.

Boat:

Engine:

These awesome offset rockers from Crower.

CNC ported intake runners. The brass tube is the valve guide.

To top it off.  [evil]

Yeah it is, we are shooting for 1200 HP and around 115 MPH. no speed limit on the water.  8)

Monster update:
Got the heel guards machined. just need to finish deburring them and bolt them on.

Almost finished product:

Found some time to throw these on. Might make a few alterations to the design and cut another set. Not sure if I like them silver, considering getting them anodized black. What do you guys think?

Wish I had one of those  ;D

Yeah I am thinking they would look better black. I do small production runs sometimes. If you want something cut let me know and, I will see if I can help you out. [thumbsup]

Been busy the last few days, so I haven't gotten a chance to post anything until now.

Changes:
Cut down my chain guard. Took all of five mins, and I think really improves the look of the "ugly side" of the SSA. Besides, its only a $30.00 part shipped, so its not a big deal to change back.

Before:

After:

Also, removed the terrible looking charcoal filter, and fitted a Rizoma line cover. Really like how much more of the engine you can see now :).

useless emissions control stuff:

Line cover:

Serious Question:
Since I removed the filter I had to cap one of the two vent tubes that come out of the top of my fuel tank. I noticed my tank now makes quite a loud hissing sound after a ride, which means I am building a decent amount of pressure in there. Will this cause any issues later on? Should I have another vent tube that just runs to the underside of the engine?

did you put bolts or caps on the throttle bodies? I suggest bolts as the caps tend to age quickly and leak

Detroit117

Bolts, I never liked using those rubber caps so I avoid them when I can.

Waiting on some parts for my Monster, so I am trying to keep the thread interesting for you guys.  ;D

Shop Update:

Had an interesting failure on one of my dad's bikes. Heat shield on his exhaust cracked at the weld. Turns out we are not the only ones to have this problem. Vance and Hines sent us a new pipe free of charge, but I decided to weld the old one instead.

Got some more work done on my friend's boat. Set the valves, port matched the intake runners, and made an alternator bracket / oil pump spacer that will actually clear the blower pulley system.

Last, got some wheels and tires for an old muscle car I am building.

Monster update:

It was time for a new rear tire, so I had a good excuse to change out my rear axle nut:

Installed a crank case breather:

Also got a belly pan and a head light that will go on shortly:

Does anyone know where I can get some expanded metal mesh that matches the air intakes in the fuel tank covers? Can't seem to find it.  ???

Tpo?

Edit: found what you were talking about. Not what I am looking for. Need to find some metal mesh that matches the OEM screen in my tank covers.
