The network? Like AMC? I doubt that... this is one of their, if not their biggest property. They have a hot set, Madmen, Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheels and WD. They would be nuts to drop it - I can't think of another show on the air that gets so much 'water cooler' chatter presently.

From what I read, and correct me if I'm wrong, it had to do with some cable companies not picking up AMC plus there was some other stuff going on with the production company and the show itself. Haven't heard anything in a while, but with them advertising the show back in October, seems they worked everything out.

I know I heard something that caught my attention... what little attention I have left! Maybe the cable company issue had something to do with it. Again, can't remember. But you guys are right. Why would you drop a popular show like WD. The production costs can't be that high (zombie make up can't cost too much) and it's not like it's overflowing with giant name brand actors/actresses demanding multi million dollar contracts. Although I would kick in some $$$ to see the irritating kid offed and his brains gobbled up by zombies. Does that me a bad person?

Re: production costs- I bet they're more than you think.

How many zombies X people to apply that makeup at 5 or 6 hours or however long it takes per.  Those makeup people aren't $8/hr type folks. . .

iirc, walking dead is $3MM/episode.

Dish network has dropped AMC ...so no WD for me ...that sucks

Where can you see it online?  I didn't get to see most of the second season since we don't have cable.  I had to rely on the word of others.  So sad

Walking dead all weekend, starts at 10am with first episode and runs until new one on Sunday.

Me No has cable, and if there are a few people that fall into this category I may be able to see if I can set up something where you can stream the episode from my dropbox or something. I'm not sure if AMC would like that, but at the same time, I don't think the creators would have liked me feeding you guys their comics, either

I had to find the first few shows of season 2 online because I didn't get into the show until S2 already started.
