The 1100 clutch basket and plates are alloy already. Correct? Is the drum still steel with a cush drive?
You could save a pound of rotating mass with a billet drum if Ducati still run the old drum design. NGR and SSR have billet drums via forum sponsors. Add in clutch springs and billet retainers of your choice with Ti bolts and a painted pressure plate and all is not lost!  [evil]

Clutch plates are indeed alloy as well as the basket (very scientific magnet test so could be another material)!

For more useless information I weighed the stock exhaust cans as well as the stock midpipe and flapper motor:

Stock M1100 exhaust cans - 3.2kg each
Stock flapper vavle midpipe - 1.6kg
Flapper valve servo motor   - 0.5kg

And the new gear:

SC project alloy cans - 1.5kg each
Flapper-less midpipe  - 1.2kg
Duc.EE (yet to arrive)- ?? bugger all
