Iv'e gone and bought something that Iv'e wanted to buy for quite some time and hopefully will earn me a decent wage.

I always said that I didn't want to die wondering if I could do it so hear it is, the down side is it will take me away from one of my loves (motorcycling) and I may not get to hang with all you guys.

It's ironic that I had to go to the doctors this week with a work related injury and he told me to look for another job as my body wont keep doing the kind of work I'm doing at the moment. In a nut shell I'm worn out, well Iv'e still got something left in the tank.

  But anyways.

Should keep me busy  [thumbsup]

<---Stupid American.  What the hell is that^^^?!?!  It's almost got the Italian colours.  Should we help paint it and add some ducati corse stickers?

Dodged a bullet this week

Been window shopping for a track bike for a while.
Found one that on face value ticked all the boxes.
Engine brakes clutch all good , race ready with race teck tyres frame sliders
And the best cheap as chips
Second viewing took it for a ride (around the carpark didn't want to break the law did I  [roll])
Ready to hand over the hard earned but just had a niggle of doubt  in the back of my mind.
Took it down to see the lads at Motorcycle weaponry who have a lot of experience with race/track bikes.
Threw it on the dyno and the thing tried to climb off the machine under throttle .
Frame was that twisted the bike would of tied itself in knots and thrown me to buggery.
Unscrupulous bastard  >:(  will no doubt sell it to someone even dumber than me............if there
could actually be one  [laugh]

Fantastic news Mick, i'm sure that it will work out for you.
I remember our chat at the Autism Awareness Ride some months back, you were procastinating over taking the plunge. As for not getting out as much, i'm sure that when you settle in you will find some time there for a ride. Best we arrange that "bike swap" soon i say........I haven't forgotten, lets work something out tomorrow night.......!

Brian.

Yes Brian I do tend to procrastinate... no wait.... I'll get back to you on that.

Truck racing mmm.... just need to add some Ducati Corse stickers and a Eyetalian flag.

Yeah Dogs, that sucker would be some one like me, I'm too bloody trusting.

Hi. I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such self-help tapes as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Some Confidence, Stupid!”
NYTimes: "...highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod and a dildo collector."

Poked my head in at D'Moto today for the obligatory coffee, came across this.........  bike ? ........  being fine tuned for, what looks like Wobbart/Rob S/Nigel Nobike.....It has his name written all over it.
Love that gear changer Wobbart, but never for a moment did I take you as a golfer...... [roll]

Just happened to be cruising around near home, spotted a familiar face skulking around in someones garage, so I just had to see what he was stealing up to.

Lookey here.......notice the hand on chin stance, usually means that heavy negotiations are in progress.

Again, hand on chin but in a kneeling position and closer up. I'd say that he is hell bent on winning the 4 valve concours next year.

Will he or won't he, thats the burning question.......dam near need a poll on this one people.....   [coffee]
Just let the moths out of your Gucci wallet Wobbart, you tight ars, and buy the bloody bike, then Des and I will let you work on our bikes again .   [roll]

Amazing ........that photo makes Brian actually look like he knows what he is doing

Well letting Paul do all the technical safety stuff  is a good start  [laugh]

At least it will be done proper like .

suzyj

No way. From the expression on his face, you can easily tell he's asking "which way do I turn it?"

Of course even the youngest trainee knows its lefty loosy, righty tighty. Of course you need to know your left from your right as well, which can be problematic.

And that garage is filthy.

Its always a good idea to slip the axle back into the fork ends to stop them twisting off the stand., I know someone that can tell you a story [cheeky]
