Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

On the way home... I somehow lost (misplaced?) Tommy...
Needed Gas?  Other issues?  I don't know...    ???
We were doing what we do (you know... "spirited riding") and thern he wasn't there...

A few moments later, there was a single headlight behind me...

I pulled over and it was:
ANOTHER oilfield guy riding a (YELLOW!) 1098... from Burleson...
...whose wife just... err... um... underwent frontal modification!   ;D

Don't know where Tommy went,  ???  Hope he is OK! (Dude, shoot me a PM)

Weird night.

Who was that guy with the funny hat and no dog anyway?

Well it seems that there is no way a S4R can keep up with a 1098s.  I was shifting from 5th to 6th and missed my gear and for some reason the S4R said F-U when trying to recover from the missed gear.  140 mph and it didn't want to go back in gear until I coasted down to about 25 mph on the shoulder before it shifted down into 5th gear.  Glad you made it home safely.  The Monster seems to be fine.  Anyone know anything about this?  Is more likely to be rider error, clutch or tranny?  I do know I just got my new shift linkage and lever in from Ducati Omaha yesterday.  I've been ridding with a bent lever and linkage since Bon-wilder dropped it during a low speed u-turn.
