I would dare to say -- excluding Rossi, who's bike is faster in the straights but a pig in the turns -- that Dani, Yorghey, and Crutchlow are better racers....lots of fellows can slide the ass-end of a motorcycle around a turn

What a lot of armchair / keyboard racers seem to forget ( all too easily ) is that these guys are the best in the world. Taking a potshot on the internet doesn't take anything but a moment of time.  We should be awestruck instead.

True. Lorenzo said he would try to use Stoner as a "reference (point)" tto get away from Pedrosa. He showed considerable respect and sportsmanship in his attitude.

At PI, losing half a second per lap is on the average an 80 foot gap.

There's no draft at 80 feet behind, and the gap will be ~150 feet at the end of the straight.

That's getting left for dead.

On the Aussie telecast, Stoner was given a beer holder by a fan that had a sexy picture of his wife Adrianna. It read, "Casey Stoner, I'd stay home too"! He really liked it and laughed. The TV station didnt show the picture.

Yeah, taking the only opportunity to even sniff a championship and running with it makes him an idiot.    Why would you not go for broke if you found yourself in front.  The only way Pedro even thinks about championship is winning out and/or hoping Jorge crashes.  Give the guy credit for his year and showing everyone more racecraft and balls than anyone will give him credit for.
