sounds like you bet the better deal than your bro. Not only has he got a bike you can borrow but he does your wrench turning as well !!!!!!

Gotta look out for my 'little' (100kg) brother. ;)

I certainly get the better deal!

He's always been much more of a tinkerer than myself. I certainly do the easier things, oil, filter, plugs, brake/clutch bleeding and like, but with the more complicated stuff, or stuff I've not done before, I'm more than happy to watch, assist and learn from him. He's a good teacher! [thumbsup]

Chucked a whole stainless steel bolt kit through my wifes 620. Living near the coast i thougt the alloy ones would get a little skankey. Wish I had a nikel plate machine [drool] like Rob though;D.
Oh and a wiring tidy up to get rid of those zip ties [thumbsup]

Oh and suspension set up done since I have to ride it next weekend and it had a 100mm sag [bang] Its a different bike now!!

Bought a bike cover, k&n oil filter and shell adv ultra4 oil. What do you use? As long as its 10-40 it should be ok right? The last time I bought a bottle of that a few yrs ago it was $95. Today it was $98

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

It is handy to have a plug in there to keep the oil from coming out.

Oh and started to get inspired about the monster again after seeing an almost finished silver S2r 1000  :o

Hi. I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such self-help tapes as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Some Confidence, Stupid!”
NYTimes: "...highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod and a dildo collector."

My bro and I reset the TPS. This required the removal of the airbox. Even though that was a pain, it allowed me to replace some old bolts with newies, tidy up some wires, clean the throttle bodies inside and out, clean the trelis frame and pretty much everything else under the airbox.

Next my bro synced the throttle bodies and finally set the air bleed mix.

So far so good, now for a few rides and plug chops. It's certainly starting and idling better than it has in the year I've owned it, plus the throttle response is very crisp. Much better than ever!

Looking forward to the next sunny day!
