I was thinking of doing a nice custom bike from a Ducati ST2 for a while now and finally got around to strip my trusty ST for the next challenge.  After 2 days of cutting, welding and grinding she looks like this. [drink]

Also in the works is a "Moto Motivo" Monster usind a 999 frame and swingarm, Monster tank and seat and a MTS1000DS motor. ;)

[thumbsup] i always daydream about doing an st build.
what tank is that on there?
'00 M900s

Moto Motivo

The tank is from a Ducati 999, but will be modified during the build to give it a "sleeker" look.

Really like what I can see.

What seat pan is that? Did you make it?

Moto Motivo

Got the seat from Radical Ducati in Spain, but might change it to one of my own designs similar to the seat on this bike.

Every bike I've ever owned.

Nice idea. Looks like a shorter swingarm might be in your future.  [popcorn]

Everytime I take the plastic off my ST3 I want to make it into a naked bike.
I want to keep the rear end and tank but just strip it down.
I can't figure out what to do with the headlight and computer/dash.  [bang]

I know the tank and seat are just resting on the frame, but I think you have the angle just right.  Radical Ducati's bikes look awesome, but the tail section on their bikes is normally pointing a little too high for my tastes.

Where did you get the Radical Ducati tail section?  A guy came on to the forum a while back who announced that Radical Ducati would soon have a distributor here in the U.S., but then I didn't hear anything more.

What kind of headlight are you thinking of going with?  The V-rod and Yamaha MT-01 style headlights always look good. A traditional round Monster light would look good too.

Bike looks sick in the  mock up. Nice  job.  [thumbsup]

He imports them from RAD directly.  I ordered the cafe tail from them, it took about a month but it wasn't too bad, Pepo and Reyes speak English well, the only hassle was sending a bank wire transfer rather than credit card, paypal, google checkout etc

Thanks, may I ask how much it cost?
