You are asking Ducati to make a non-Ducati bike?

nah, just one that can win races again.

You are asking Ducati to make a non-Ducati bike?  Well, it had already begun so why stop at the L-Twin.

every GPx they make is a non-ducati bike.
Like this is the racing, no?

According to this Autosport.com article, Audi is expecting Ducati to be closer to the front-runners in 2013, winning races in 2014 & contending for the title in 2015.

Sounds realistic, though not what Ducatisti (like me) want to hear, and probably the primary reason that Rossi is headed back to Yamaha - he simply doesn't have that long to wait.

Too lazy to look for it, but I hate to quote myself anyway. I knew that they would bring in someone from BMW. What they've done in WSBK is very impressive any way to slice it.

Punk kids...I liked your post better...  ;D

Director of R&D is probably a good role for him, anyway.  There, he can play technical while someone else sets the priorities and schedules.
