Hey everyone!

I'm from Rooty Hill, Sydney, bought a 2001 S4 a few weeks back and have been enjoying every waking minute of it! I've previously owned a Suzuki Across, CBR600RR, CBR125R(Race Bike), KH100(Project Bike).

I'm waiting on a bunch of parts ordered from Bellissimoto and have already made the change to a Lithium Ion battery, and bar end mirrors are waiting to go on.

Interesting combination but I am intrigued to hear that the bike handles so well ... aren't those wheels meant to be quite heavy?

They're from a Sport 1000 S, rims are alloy. And in all honesty for the average road rider tyre care and suspension setup will impact more on handling than wheel weight. Sure it may not turn in as quick at "10/10" but on public roads you can't push it that hard. Anyways I reckon a heavier wheel would be less likely to be affected by "bump steer", lets face alot of the roads in NSW aren't much better than goat tracks.

I've spent most of my time riding the first gen GSXR's and recently roadtrail bikes converted to motards. I've had to change my riding style somewhat, no need to really man handle the thing with brute force.

New to the forum, and Ducati's but I long time fan! Recently got my first, then second, and probably not my last ...

Bikes: 1995 M400, 2001 M600 Dark, 2006 Cagiva 125 Evo
Do: Systems Manager, spare time, design and manufacture brakes for 1/5 RC motorcycles

Relatively new to riding, got my P's last June, yup a late starter to the motorcycle world. I love the styling of the Cagiva, but the aggressive riding position is torture after a couple of hours, so it remains as purely a toy. Decided the hunt would be on for a monster, and so it began!

The M400 is a friends bike, that is the current project, it'll be a complete tear down and rebuild. Have been addressing all the mechanicals since we got it, rebuilt the forks, replaced the belts, tensioners, set the valve clearances, new brake pads. Next stage will be the cosmetics.

The M600 I picked up for myself a few weeks ago, not much to do to it, except enjoy it! (Although I have to confess already purchased a second caliper for the front).

No doubt will be asking questions as time goes on, and hope to catch up for some group rides and events in the near future.

    Hope you enjoy it here, there's always something going on here.
Nice stable, it sounds like you enjoy doing your own monkey work.

Rides have been a little scares lately but there is always someone up for a spin and we do try getting regular groups together.
But as we don't know where you're hanging out the group thing depends on your local.
