Got Duc

Did not charge the phone last night.

Turned on at 7AM this morning. Right now I have 30% left.

Surprised it lasted two days
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

No problems for me with battery life, iPhone 5 lasts all day for me. This thing is much faster than the 4s and noticeably less heavy.

My 5 arrived at my doorstep today. This thing is awesome. My 4S crawled away in tears.  :D

The speed of this thing on LTE is faster then when I'm on wifi.  :D

Pretty common for most areas of the country unfortunately. Most ISPs are hosing people.

Deciding what my next phone will be and tethered speeds will be a dominant factor in my decision as I tell my current ISP to go sodomize themselves.

Actually you just need to find a carrier that provides LTE coverage in your area (how do you find Podunk on a coverage map?). Just about any smart phone worth a damn will allow you to create a personal hotspot.

Er...that's what I said. Point being, I plan  on dropping my landline ISP once I upgrade to an LTE handset.

And all of the carriers have pretty much covered Iowa with LTE. Even the town of 1400 I was going to move to was running around a 40down/40up Verizon LTE connection everywhere in town.

Here is my dilemma, I'm going to be buying a new iPhone, but I'm currently living out of country. I will be buying unlocked. Now, I could buy the 5 for the LTE, but unlike 3g, they will be supporting different frequencies depending on the country. In the US they cover I believe around 8 different frequencies, depending on the carrier. I already checked that the US versions will not support the frequency they plan on using down here. Without that huge advantage, it doesn't make sense for me to buy a 5, so I'm leaning towards just getting the larger 4s.

Thoughts?

unless you're going to use Siri don't buy the S version because the battery life is worse.

But the "support", i.e. iOS upgrades, will be longer with the s.

Indeed but how long do you plan on keeping it?

U usually keep my phones for at least 2 years. if I stay in Chile past my initial contract date, then we're talking around 3 years.

I didn't think they distinguished between the S and non S for updates.  Only difference is Siri.
