Sell your bikes then... planes like that one don't come cheap.
Unfortunately, the financial part of it isn't the issue. The wife saying, "Why do you need another hobby?" on the other hand is. Lol.

"Well, if I crash doing this one only the plane gets hurt." Could try that tact.

But wait until one of these Spectacular Models hit's the Deck, you will see grown men cry!

I was out watching some guys fly at a local club a number of years ago, my Wife's boss was right into RC Planes, so every now and then he would let us know when one of the older members of the club was going to bring out a superb model or something a bit different, on the particular day we were there, one of the guys had brought out a superb model of a WWII fighter (Sorry, not sure which, don't know my planes that well, I just heard somebody say it was a model of a WWII plane) lots of Dollars, hours of love and attention had been poured into this impressive machine, he flew it a couple of times and it was certainly impressive to watch.
The crash was also certainly impressive to see also, another guy was also flying at the same time, somehow they lost track of each other, 2 planes collided mid air, loud bang, flame, splintering Timber and it was all over.

Both planes (Or what was left of them) hit the ground, all these 2 guys could do was salvage what parts were left (and there wasn't much) that pretty much shut down the day. sad part is I found out that one of the guys left the hobby a few days later, sold all of his stuff and never returned. Damn shame, as his planes were spectacular to look at and watch in action.

Yeah no doubt there a ton of people who are way too attached to their models. I've been flying RC planes for the better part of 34 years, Lord knows i've piled in my fair share of models [laugh]. By the time I started flying the big 40% aerobatic models most crashes were mechanical failures. Light weight comosite shells fly great but crash poorly, they're like egg shells. Most of the IMAC guys could laugh off a crash with the exception of the guys who built from scratch.  Either way crashing $8k toy plane will put a damper on your day [wine]

RAT900

they are all Lawn Darts....

but at least you aren't sitting in them when they go in

don't buy or build anything that you don't think you could stomach/afford seeing as a pile of crumpled rubble

on the plus side, airframes coming in from China etc are fairly cheap
This is an insult to the Pez community
