it's an mhe900 fairing, which in reality is nothing to with hailwood as such.  the colours and scheme thereof is from the ncr bevels of the 70's.  hailwoods was an ncr bike, but it was painted red/white/green as it was sponsored by castrol.

they should have been called ncr evolutions, or painted red/white/green.  historical inaccuracy in the face of overwhelming evidence really shits me.

If you look at the image on the right of it, there is a Castrol scheme in there.

yes, i saw that.  i was just ranting about the original.

i quite like the light blue pantah.  not sure why i'm getting into that one lately.

the actual bike looks much less ridiculous if you crop the picture so the margins are even.  Still not really my bag, but not entirely front heavy.

Not my thing, as for me also, the whole fairing thing on a monster makes it no longer a monster.  Agreed the rear cowl needs rework. More in the MHR style, with the peak and reverse scallop on the back, rather than the cockleshell seat cap of the standard bike.

To my eyes also, there is something not quite right with the trailing edge of the fairing and the tank's top front section where the gauze is located. It just doesn't have the right matching shape.

Perhaps an MHR style chunky tail may balance it, but I'm not so sure.

Still, it's a lot of work making an early SS replica style from a monster.

early on, I felt the next gen SS could easily be built with the modular style of the new Monster frame.
I'm still convinced of this, just not this kit.
