Talk from another board is:

"LiSTers:

Ontario and Quebec Provinces have gotten very, very serious about
speeding or stunting. I spend a lot of time in both Provinces, and
about two weeks ago had a conversation with a friend and his buddy,
who is an Ontario Provincial Police officer. The OPP chap said to date
in Ontario a bit more than 6,000 citations have been issued for
driving or riding more than 50 kliks over the posted limit, and the
law went into effect this past January. The law allows (or demands)
that the vehicle is impounded on the spot, the driver or rider hands
his or her license over on the spot and the maximum fine is $10,000.
ùthe officer said the average fine has been running $3-4,000, and
knows of only a couple of drivers who have been hit with the 10 grand
fine. The car or bike is kept for 10 days, with the owner getting to
pay towing and impound daily fees. It is a BIG deal in Ontario. A few
moto heads have been cited for doing even a small, power wheelie under
the stunt riding provision. Same fines and impounds as above. Be
careful up there. There are notices along highways that are billboard
size outlining the fines.

Oh Canada, do me a favor and stay on your side of the border.

Man, I don't agree: I do a lot of driving on the toll roads around here and I see this kind of "stunt" riding often.  I think the Canadian law is a good one.  It's the small minoroty of idiot squids who give the rest of the law abiding (O.K., generally  law abiding ) motorcyclists a bad name with the general population and the cops.  I don't want or need that kind of attention  :P

Straight poop - no shit.

Maybe I should start the "Straight Poop - No BS" thread since we're such a quiet bunch that never has anything to say  [evil]

i see what you're saying for sure...but there is a big difference between an innocent little power wheelie (not that i have experience with wheelies, mind you), and a 12:00 wheelie at 70mph on the tollway...

For some reason I feel that a thread of this magnitude needs to be bumped up and not forgotten! So in it's honor I say that Gregg White's commentary today on the MotoGP broadcast was total bullshit! There... honor has been served. [thumbsup]

I thought that too.  White would make some ridiculous inane comment, and then throw it over to Schwantz.  I would cringe, waiting for KS to recover the fumble.  I think he learned to ignore and move on.  Schwantz is pretty low key, but interesting.

"Soft compound, what does that mean Kev?"  [laugh]

I think Gregg White's brain is soft compound... and a little worn on the edges. [roll]

when your leasing office tries to get your bike towed...... from the lobby...  and leaves it in the alley all scared and alone...

that's bullshit.

(the other kind of bullshit, that this thread wasn't really started for initially, but has nonetheless become a part of)

Now that is bullshit! After reading your thread on this bullshit I think we all need to brain storm over beers and come up with a medieval revenge plan. Ron may be too nice for this kinda work but all those years working with lawyers and criminals have honed my skills to razor sharpness. [evil] What's the dude's car look like? It's nice and hot outside, ever thought of pushing some shrimp through the window sill on the door? They drop down inside the guts of the door and after festering in the door for a couple of days in this kind of heat the whole car will smell worse than a bad dumpster and they will never know where it's coming from. [thumbsup] Don't ask me how I know this. :-X [laugh]

I'm starting to like the sound of this. One of my favorite movie lines: "Revenge is a dish best served cold" Khan/Ricardo Monteban in Wrath of Khan... and no, I'm not a trekkie. [popcorn]
