I can tell already that this will not end well.  I can deal with it not being OK to discuss politics or religion, as long as the rules are enforced fairly and evenly.  But when some are allowed to cross the line and others are not, that does not sit well with me.  If nothing else, it makes it very hard to tell where the line is, when it is defined with bias or arbitrarily.  Last time I dealt with this, with these same people, that was the end problem, and I can already see that happening again, so I'm leaving now.

I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

The mods don't read every post-this is what we have board guidelines and a "report to mod" button.

Dare I point out that this board, like most other things, is run by real live people who probably can't get it right every time?

I don't see the point of this-you either actually left and will never see any response (so why post?) or are hoping we'll gnash and wail about your impending departure, in which case you'd reluctantly stay.

Seems utterly juvenile.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I was going to say something a bit more to the point but why bother.

Not to add fuel to the flames but I regularly see people getting away with the same shit mods lambast others for.

It all depends on who your friends are and aren't.

There is a definitive double standard on this board.

But I also take it with a grain of salt. I am not the one paying for the board so...
If the admins want to arbitrarily enforce their rules to some and not others, it is their right. But people who think it doesn't happen are just fooling themselves.

Anyway, I have nothing else productive to add to the conversation.
I, personally, will miss Phil. He rides his Monster more than dozens of people on this forum combined and has interesting stories to share. But I guess that isn't what we are about 'round these here parts.  [cheeky]

I would take it with a grain of salt too. The best thing is to avoid talking politics or religion here and not worry about what other people are doing. If you get reprimanded then back off. The problem shouldn't be bad enough that you have to leave.

Now if I were to make a stand, it'd be about the lack of boob pics. Man, I love boobs.

as I see it...no one is telling Phil he has to leave or anything like that....he is making a choice of his own, for which, while I disagree with it, it is a choice he is willingly making on his own...
