Funny.  I was just thinking about this thread this weekend...  As I'm in need of a Bonneville tow vehicle/race hauler/thingy...

A bunch of makers are coming out with diesel cars and CUVs.. Mazda, Chevy, Cadillac..

but no small trucks... :-/

The Chevy Cruze in diesel sounds interesting.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

year and details?

1996 extended cab longbed.
7.3 powerstroke
5 Speed manual
2x4
243k on the odo
Recent tires(10k), new shocks, new water pump, broken A/C.
About 16mpg is what I get, but I commute up a mountain.

Basically this:

(not my truck)

6K/BO.

Where do you live? Travis will be here and heading East-mebbe you can con him into driving it.

I would GLADLY have a similar (or more) power producing diesel in my Dakota rather than the 4.7 V8 it has.  It's a good motor, but would take two diesels to equal its fuel consumption!

Yeah in Cali it's just a waste of fuel.

AEV Brute Double Cab

And stick a diesel in it......i would trade in my tacoma in heart beat.

that is awesome!!!...with a diesel, I'd dump my Subaru Baja for that in a heartbeat, since I know I am not going to get an Amorok!
