Thought I would post this up for us Brissy /SEQ guys. As posted on Speedys Motorcycles FB page -

Hi guys we just started the Ducati Owners Club SEQ. Basically we felt that Ducati owners are being treated like shit by other clubs because they are either not old enough or dont have classic Ducati's. This is open to anyone with a late model Ducati , super bikes, sports bikes and Harleys .
Real dyno events , track and drag days to come.

Like the page and lets kick this thing off !

You greatly underestimate the amount of overconfidence I have.

Someone's gotta be tail end charlie don't they Betty?

I know ... that's usually me. Just seems like a weird message they are sending to me.

Doesn't really sound like a Ducati Owners Club if it is open to anyone with a Harley. Our little old club was dominated by 'bevel heads' and a bit of good natured banter is a good thing (not that I know anything about the situation here). It could be interesting to see how things develop with such an 'inclusive' policy ... if they thought they were being treated like shit by classic Ducati owners I find it a little odd that they chose to strike an alliance with Harley owners.

Are Ducatisti all that interested in dyno days and drags?

Sounds like the sort of thing you'd do if your bike couldn't take a corner...

Have you tried it Wayne?

It's quite interesting trying to cover that 400 metres as fast as possible, not to mention great fun and very difficult.

I am pretty sure it says track days too.

yeah, see, i know the two guys at speedys and they mean well, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions and while scott has a monster, and a very nice on it is, both he and tim have been bitten hard by the drag racing bug, and it's tim who owns the harley, hence they're welcome too.
Nice idea and evertything but it's not very ducati, i'm not really a joiner anyway, but the DOCQ is far too cliquey for me, and i'm not into drags, or harleys, so i'm out and I don't have FB either (amen!).
