not "super easy to hit warp speed" or "super easy to get a ticket before second gear".   [popcorn]
And you sleep well at night after lying to your insurance agent? [evil]

no claims, no tickets - no questions...just like growing up - as long as no one showed up to tell your Mother you got into trouble...you didn't  ;D

Dairyland (Sentry Insurance) was the best deal for me. $475/yr full coverage on the S4Rs. Progressive wanted ~$4000. Geico ~$1200.

Never buy a bike without getting your insurance quote first. ;)

Just for kicks, I checked with progressive about full coverage on both of the same bikes that Scott has.  The Smart would be about 540 bucks and the 1098s around 1600 a year.  I currently use progressive for both my car and my monster just fyi.  Do you have some skid marks on your driving record Pipeliner?  I'm 29 just for the age infoz.  The full coverage price goes down dramatically if you don't buy new as well.  Get a 2 year old bike and you'll pay much, much less.  Also.. there was no price difference in quote between a 1098 and a 1098s for me.

Scott's Paul Smart is a sexy bike... one of my favorite Ducatis.  Its even sexier after seeing the insurance quote on it.  I think due to it being limited run and probably not many squids on them and of course then not wrecking them keeps the price down.  There probably isn't a ton of wreck/claim history with that particular bike.  I pay more for my monster than I would for the PS1000.  One more year and hopefully its gonna be new bike shopping time.   Insurance definately weighs in on what you choose for sure.

i may not have a SBK but +1 for dairyland.  lots of people on here recommended them to me after going through a pretty horrible claims process with progressive for my monster.  the progressive reps would never call me back...and i was basically left in the dark.  it was pretty much in line with my experience after getting my sentra totaled by a drunk driver.  so anyway i pay right at $500 a year for the SS (and monsters are much cheaper with them, for the quotes i got, anyway), and that's with a ticket or two on my record...   and you get a decent amount of included accessories coverage (like $3k?) and $1k just for gear.

esurance was also a very cheap quote....and the rep i talked to was actually a ducati rider.  forget who underwrites their powersports policies, though.

30 yrs old, clean record, no accidents or tickets.  Only skid marks are, well...never mind.  I was checking on a 2007 1098s, not new.  Btw, if you find a 2 yr old 1098s let me know  :D
