That looks like a good cruising route for sure. I've been scouting curvy ones S of Tyler to avoid  and am about to ride to L Palestine through Poyner and South to Palestine.
I figured about 200mi as was suggested may be good.

I'll post back later regarding today's foray.

Okee dokee. I put in 100miles and about 15 were slabbing. Found another batch of nice roads
N and S of Poyner and around S L. Palestine.   Saw about 20 cruisers and one rice burner having a good time.
Mostly no shoulders but good pavement, hills, pines and little cages. 

Next ill add up the miles and such.

I did a search for rates on the three new hotels here but got some conflicting info. I'll go in person mañana to verify. Hotwire listed one for 49.00 and ill try to see which one that is.

I mapped out a route for 140 miles.  I'm trying to get my google map to link here.

Lodging: Holiday Inn Express (newest), La Quinta, Comfort Inn, and Best Western are all fairly new and decent. Hotwire gave a rate of 49.00 which is one of these four (they don't tell which one until its paid for).  All are on US 69 in town. Beware of the one (Americas Value...)  on US 79: old and badly managed.

So two and a half people?
