Given the recent trouble with the rectifier/regulator, any thoughts towards relocating it?

Thought about relocating it using one of the sponsors relocator kits but ended up keeping it in the same place.  I did however get the Hot Shot R/R from Rick's Motorsports which claims to run cooler than the OEM piece.  May end up having it relocated but i think the main issue is that the stock R/R from Ducati is a POS.

glad to hear you got it sorted out.  Is your R/R mounted underneath the seat?  I find mine just below the bottom triple beside the horn and I'm pretty sure it runs cool there.

New R/R, stator and new LSL urban headlight installed.  I can finally call this project almost** complete.

I know someone who said "it's almost complete" and it's still building and getting new parts !!!

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

That Rad Ducati tank and seat is pretty awesome but......I'll leave the dots for you to fill in.  Ride now she looks great and gets compliments, even when i'm riding and it's 30 degrees out.

Still mounted under my seat.  I've drilled a couple holes in the plate to get air up in there to keep it a bit cooler if needed.

Not sure what it is about hte S4 but finding some parts are extremely hard.  I have a spare starter motor, stator, 2 tanks and now wheels from another member.  Maybe I should just build another bike with all the shit I've got around....

One of the functional mods for this year will be to relocate the voltage regulator, just remember, must keep it fresh and dry down here . . . lotsa water between April and December . . .
