Anybody have experience riding with a internal plug? I got a small nail in my rear tire and I had it internally plugged.

Internal plug or patch?
I had a hole plugged lasted about 40 miles I think.....the tire was very good only about 3K miles on....then the MM's patched it and was good for the remainder of that tires life.
It was always in the back of my mind though....is it going to fail!!?
My people skills are just fine.
It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work.

Had a fairly new Michelin 2CT rear repaired by SSD with a "mushroom" plug/patch and it went another 5k miles before I replaced it due to wear...

It's a internal plug, but I do have that thought in the of my head.... "What if it fails"
I'll ride it out and see if I lose air pressure as I continue to ride on it and feel it out.

FROM FRIDAY ON AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...WE EXPECT INCREASING TRADE
WIND SHOWER ACTIVITY. THIS CHANGE IS A RESULT OF THE A SERIES OF MID
LEVEL TROUGHS MOVING OVER THE ISLANDS. THE FIRST OF TWO TROUGHS WILL
SETTLE NEAR THE BIG ISLAND...SLIGHT DESTABILIZING THE AIR MASS OVER
THE ISLANDS. THE SECOND TROUGH...ARRIVING OVER THE WEEKEND...WILL
DEEPEN THE TROUGH ALREADY IN PLACE. AS A RESULT...WE MAY HAVE A WET
TRADE WIND PATTERN BY SUNDAY. THE MODELS...BOTH ECMWF AND GFS ARE
SUGGESTING THIS INCREASE IN SHOWERS INITIALLY FAVORING WINDWARD MAUI
AND THE BIG ISLAND THEN SPREADING TO KAUAI SUNDAY.

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Who's ready for some riding tomorrow?

Supposed to rain tomorrow, but if it's anything close to today I'll be... [Dolph]

Well, the sun's making an appearance on this side, so I'll be heading down to JJ around 9:00ish...keeping my fingers crossed...

Me too in a bit.  As I sit and type this there is a squall shower line coming through over Enchanted Lakes / Kailua.  It doesn't look too wide judging by the edge over the north side of Waimanalo but it'll make the road wet for a bit.

It's going to take me about 20 mins to unload the car and get ready to go so I have report back in a few.

It cleared.  The bike is warming up now.

All in all a good day.  Had some fun moments and any ride that starts out wet but ends up dry can't be all bad.   [cheeky]

Yup...nice lead today MD, you made it interesting/fun....

On another note, my bike felt pretty squirrely in the wind today, expecially when the road was straight and the surface crappy...wonder if it's the lighter wheels...

I think the wind was affecting all of us.  That's why you saw me pulling into a tuck a few different times. It wasn't just for show. I was trying to get as small as possible.

I think it was partially that, but mostly the owner/operator...after I had the wheels installed the ride was a tad harsher so I thought I would back off the fork compression damping a tad, turns out I stiffened it 1/2 turn instead of softening it...I just checked the setting and evidently when I made the adjustment I zeroed the adjuster and then backed out 1 1/2 turns instead of 2 1/2... [bang]...and maybe that's why the bike felt like it was on rails in the sweepers today, or maybe that was just an old man's imagination...
