Hey Betty, i don,t think late start is an issue, and with the proposed route, looks good timing for lunch.

The real issue is you locked in a day a time and a route,With out consultation,with the masses

Someone post's a ride in a general direction and day.

Then it takes two weeks to decide a route 
Then another two weeks to decide a day 
Then another two weeks to decide a time 
The original poster gets the shits from all the pm's on the route etc, and want's to pull the pin.
And finally the original poster locks in his original plan and every one is happy
