I know a lot of you folks know little or nothing of the 'Cold War'.

I remember sitting in class during High School and feeling the shockwaves from underground nuclear tests at the test site (grew up in Vegas).

A couple days ago I dug out my Battleship game that I had growing up so my 3 y/o could play with it. One set had America written on it...the other Russia.  [laugh] I forgot my buddy and I did that when we were young!

I have been meaning to record this

it might actually have some potential if they haven't reinvented the past

I was a cold war warrior. Spent the early 80's on a SAC base working on B-52's.

Just finished episode 1.

Not bad.  [thumbsup]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Looks Interesting, but haven't watched it.  Zero hour was intriguing tonight as well.

I just got through episode 2. So far, it's living up to my expectations, and I've been fired up about this show for a while.

In some ways, yes. The country wasn't as divided. Plus, our "allies" actually still needed us, so there was more international solidarity, unlike now.
What I miss about the Cold War was the clarity. It was easier to know who to hate  ;D

Another great episode this week. When Reagan was shot, I was too young to understand the implication of possible war with the Reds. It was interesting (read: scary as shit) to think about it now.

Watched episode 1 Episode 2 wasn't grabbing me though, so i quit watching. I remember quite a bit of that stuff, no need to re live it.
