Too bad the revamped version still looks like crap.

just really nice lines
Raux,

Where did you grab that first snap? That's a bike my son bought in the Midwest (?) over a year ago and sold on eBay last spring after our paint guy did a new mirror and repainted the front "shield". It had been painted by Ferracci for the NY Motorcycle Show one year. Hard to mistake as it has that custom Corbin and those Staintune mufflers. Bike already had 38mm Dellortos BTW..., unless Eraldo did two. Son sold it with relatively fresh 16" Michelins too. The buyer knew what he was getting and it DID run as well as my old Paso Limited.  ;)

I heard that Ducati had kept a small 'fleet' of old 907's when they were developing and testing the 996 motors.  So, appearantly, the desmoquattro will fit into a Paso.

But, if I was going to do it...  It'd be a black 907 with a 1098/1198 motor and better suspension.

But, I'm not...

I cant find one 750 Paso for sale down here.  I've seen 906s and 907s which are very high priced for what they are. I want the 750. I would get a 906/7 with a blown motor however..

Perhaps not many were imported? You don't want to need to deal with the 16" wheels at this point on a 750. Decent enough engine it was though with 38mm Dellortos... Somehow I never could ever trust the front end feedback on my Limited and sold it for one of the first 851's.  8)

they must have all gone away.  there's always been at least one on ebay or bikepoint for the past few months.  generally $5k and up.

750 cams.

it's the 85 to 02 750 motor with the pre 92 dry clutch.  wrapped in a piece of shit.

it'd be easier to modify the st2 seating position.  and then you'll have a bike that's not a shitbox that you actually like to use.

please ride one before you invest anything in this idea.  i hate to see people throw away time and money like this.

Thanks for your concern. I'lll tallk to you about it when I'm over next.
I.ll be sure to check out anything I look at,  including test riding (and getting my wife to sit pillion).

I have ridden a 907 and liked it and I need to ride the 16" wheel bike to compare.  Your experience dealing with their issues cautions me. Years ago I was checking out a 906 at Moto One and I remember a conversation we had.

Its the club rego I'm after, so its a Paso or Elefant (and I need a ladder for those). If I could lower one, fit other wheels and keep safe dynamics (and find one) I would reconsider. Look very comfortable. I like the Elefant, pity I'm 5' 8".
If I'm delayed enough it could be a '91-92 900ss with modified seat, bars and pegs.
A better platform for sure. That would be 2016-17 for an early belt drive SS.

I rode a buddies 750 Paso on a very windy day along the Pacific, and it wasn't really affected by the winds....

My V-rod (which is what I switched off of to ride his Paso) was all over the place in the winds

End of scientific study ;)

Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)
