and keep the heel of your shoes from melting to the stock exhaust. With the CF the heat transfer is a lot lower and isn't a problem. +1 on removing them, imo less is more, the more I can take off a bike the better I like it.

just a quick update/question; how much of a change should i be seeing in the temperature drop now that i have the termi kit on the bike. i was running 130C vs 140C before. is that sound right?

Crap I don't know what's that equal in F* I'd say close to 40-50 degrees F less. It was substantial, the temps it'd reach in desert rush hour, now 260 maybe 270 if I'm beatin' it with a stick.

so if  your seeing 40-50F less after Termis, then my numbers seem right. And yeah, they sure sound like an angry roar.
