Anybody have experience good/bad with light adjusting sunglasses under their visor.
My wylie x's need to have the lens replaced so thinking about LA lens

I thought about that for myself, but the transition is too slow to be practical for me (in and out of tunnels).

My choice is a helmet with an internal sun visor.

I use prescription ground Oakleys and I don't ride without them.  Tunnels would be a transition problem I gues but I don't have any of them.  Only problem same as any glasses is steaming up.  Still trying different products for that, spit still seems to work best

i found something recently at a bike show, seems like a small wax paste.

I have a lightly tinted visor and prescription clear glasses that tint to a medium gray. Because they're not super dark, bright-to-dark transitions aren't bad. If they are, I can always flip my visor up to lighten up a bit.

I run the "dark" transitions in the winter on a set of wiley-x Air Rages.  Even though the transition is slow they work fine for the dark in the morning, sunny at noon, dark on the way home during the short days.

They have a little bit of tint when "clear" but it cuts the headlight glare a little at night.

I'm surprised you guys are getting your transitions lens to change inside a helmet. My last crappy HJC had a visor that
blocked UV so my glasses were always clear. Same as using photochromatic lens in the cage.

My Akuma has a Soloflex Transitions shield and I will not buy another helmet without such a shield.

It changes a little slower as the temps get lower but for the few times in my life I go thru tunnels I'll deal with it.
