Fun onboard video from Mike Edwards on a TZ 350 at Brands Hatch. Unless you're entertaining thoughts of picking up a racing two stroke for city traffic, skip forward to around the 6:15 mark. But then be sure to watch through to the end...

oh yeah.  i love that harsh edge noise they get sometimes as the revs peak.

brings back those happy days with the kr1s 250.  spend the day wailing around the track, ending inevitably with the brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpp p p p p and parked on the grass.

a great day out and something to do when you get home.  what more could a boy's heart desire?

happy, happy days.

Racing 2 strokes are like light switches.

Either on...or off.

I'd cut off a vital appendage to have my old RD400 Daytona Special back in the garage. Hope it's still alive and running some where on the planet. [thumbsup] Bill Wirges expansion chambers, K&N pod filters and I think it had Dunlop K181 tires... not 100% sure. I'm old and forget details but I damn sure had fun on that bike! [thumbsup] [Dolph]

Nothing else says "I love you" like a two-stroke on the pipe.  A Desmosedici with EBC set at maximum is a close second.   [evil]

A friend of mine (and sometime DMFer) says she's two weeks away from roadworthy with her RD350 cafe project. Except she's still ISO a front brake caliper. I've got three in the XS650 stash. I think I'm in a pretty good spot to negotiate a ride when it's done... >:-)

Never owned a road going 2 stroke but i did own a few offroad 2 strokes. Two strokes are near and dear to my heart. I could go for a RD 400 in my garage.

Oh shit!! Had two friends that had Metrellas in the day when I raced Pursangs in the dirt. I'd cut off your left nut as sacrifice to own a Metralla today! No offense! Just business... [laugh] [beer] Didn't know that anyone left on this planet even knew what a Metrella was! [thumbsup]
