The other day my wife tells me she's going down to Boston May 18th with a couple of her friends to do a two day 39 mile walk, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

I ask "other than holding down the fort, do you need anything?"

"Yes, they need donations."

"I'll do what I can."

We all know the statistics and we all know someone who has been effected by breast cancer.  With the donations raised, the Avon Foundation will provide support and resources for women affected by this terrible disease.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please follow the link below.

Thank you for your support!

Will do - Zooom and I do route safety for DC (and have done Charlotte a few times).  It's an amazing experience!  Good luck to her - she'll have fun!

eta: done now!   [thumbsup]
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

HUGE +1....make some time to go out along the route with the kids and cheer her and all of the walkers on if you can...and have some tissues ready for the closing ceremonies, because she is going to want them..theere are going to be some tears of joy along with those other moments that move you...and they do something that Komen wouldn't think of doing....telling you on the spot where a vast majority of the money exactly is going!

My wife and I want to thank everyone for their very generous gifts!

Donna went on the walk.  She walked all 39 plus miles and so did her friends.  Lots of blisters but very worth it.

Thank you!
