To start off, the last couple weeks have been a little make the beast with two backsed up for me.

Last week I met a fellow motocyclist at the hardware store. He had just got his bike and was new to the city and asked me to go cruising so I can show him around the city.

This was the day after I was jumped. So I give him a call today and we went for a cruise. None of my friends ride so I thought it would be fun to cruise the streets with another moto guy.  [moto]

Then it happens. I stop for a pedestrian at a crosswalk. What a responsible rider I am. 
Then all I hear is a screech. Behind me and too my right.   
I look over to see my new friend and his bike on their side coming at me.

I gave it some gas to gtfo of the way but too late.

PAIN!

The only contact made was his front tire hitting my right footpeg (which is now bent to make the beast with two backs) and then slamming my week old fractured foot into the engine case. My first though was OOWWW! FUUCCK SH1T THIS HURTS! 
Blinding pain - I have broken an arm before, dislocated and seperated a shoulder, broken a nose - a foot before.
Nothing came close to this. All the pain receptors in my leg maxed out and it felt like hot electricty running through my foot and ankle.

He was pretty embarrassed and of course offered to pay for the new peg. He was ok also and his new ninja held up ok. Just cosmetic damage.Somehow I managed to stay up thank god.

VS is trying to kill me - or at least maim me.

So time for my meds now. More x-rays tomorrow.

At this point I'm scared to leave the house. I might stay in the basement tonight and make a bubble wrap suit.

Ummm ya the whole Karma thing... I don't get it. Something really good must be about to happen because I am actually a pretty decent guy. Come on, what are the odds of this. Real life is definitely stranger than fiction.

Is the bike your only means of transportation?  I wouldnt ride it until I was healed...not worth it.  Good luck with the recovery!!

Yes my bike is my only means of transport (other than the bus).

Sure it's not ideal to ride with a broken foot. It is my right foot though and I have been taking it easy. I think my chicken strips are growing back. 

Honestly, it's been a little over a year since I started riding. I am in love with it. Never been down (luckily / knock on wood). I just can't go without riding. It's like a fantastic drug. I don't have the willpower not to ride and I promise if anything happens as a result of riding while injured I will not whine or pregnant dog about it. I always wear full gear. I know the risks and I accept them.
