I just watched 2001: A Space Odyssey with my 16 year old.

He's looking to me for explanations.

WTF - somehow seems a less than adequate one  :-\

I dont mind a movie that requires a little work... but seriously....  WTF  ???

Ning. A friend had dinner at the Space Needle last night for her birthday and saw a house fire in lover Queen Anne. It spread to 3 buildings. Great views from the top of the needle. No one was hurt in the fire.

maybe this summation will help?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001:_A_Space_Odyssey_(film)

I know that sometimes a film trying to evoke certain emotions and/or thoughts doesn't have the same effect many years later....like watching a 70's/80's horror film doesn't have the same scare 20 years later due to perception....so sometimes reading puts a slice of perspective in that is otherwise lost...

I bet that was fascinating to see - more so because people were ok.

I have to make a decision today (and a counteroffer) on a job.  Aaacckkkk. Feeling too old for change and risk.
