I know lorica isnt like vinyl. It is permeable and does not crack with age. But does anyone know if it can be dyed?

I believe it is dyed from the factory in the actual process of making it. I'm not positive however.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

You should be able to strip and paint it. A member painted some dainese boots over here http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=50948.15 . The pics are gone but he used Angelus leather paint.

I had done it before too but  from black to black. When my Vertigo's got IZ_ and faded looking I stripped 'em with denatured alcohol (there wasn't much finish left) and painted them black again. They turned out a little too shiny so I dulled them with 3M Scotch brite. they looked more like leather than they did new and lasted about 8 thousand miles so far.

I did it again from black to red on the front flex panel to see how it holds up. This time I stripped it with acetone like you would with leather-- bad idea. It made it a little rough like suede but I was able to sand it smooth.  not sure if stripping is necessary because Lorica is a lot more porous than leather.  Alcohol takes the factory finish off anyways.
