I know im going to get flamed for this..  But has anyone tried a 190 rear on their 796 or 1100?
yes, I know it wont make anything better.

does it really look that different from the 180 that's on there?

from what i understand all it's gonna do is make the thing tip in slower...

Make sure your chain won't hit it.

And probably will be con - the standard profile on a 190/50 will be broad/flatter than the 180/55 making it a bit harder to tip/less agile
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

take a look at last year's monster contest. I think he had a 200 on that.

who.. id love to find out if 190 was a clean fit. If it rubs at all, not interested.

The Dunlop Q2 180 rear looks wider on the rim than any other 180 I've seen.....  I mean noticeably wider..

....maybe a way to get the fat look you're seeking whilst staying technically within spec?

problem is.. id like to stick with the michellen 2ct. I got a nail in the rear. The front is only a year old. I figure MAYBE i can just buy a 190? ifa anyones tried it. If not, ill just have to buy the 180 to be on the safe side.

If you don't ride hard it doesn't make any difference, as long as it doesn't rub on something. If you really use your bike you won't like it, if you just putt about it will be fine.

I say go for it  [thumbsup]  Since I run no hugger in the rear I can see the clearance around the rear tire pretty well - it *appears* that expanding 5mm on either side wouldnt be an issue at any one point.  The change in performance from a 10mm difference and the minute weight gain will most likely go unnoticed unless your name is Troy Bayliss.

honestly i did on the ST2, went from stock 170 to 180 and the turn in was slower but more predictable. a good change for an ST
