OK I'll be the first to bite. How'd the nose and seat fit on? I really dig the way it looks with the 1098 fairing in contrast to the rounded tank. I'd like the Tamburini era fairings but the tail is a pregnant dog to try to fit. That looks a WHOLE lot cleaner to boot.

Please share the process you went through to do this. Did you weld tabs to the steering stem and frame to accommodate all the plastics? I was trying to do this to my monster 1000 with 999 fairings using pipe clamp fittings. The side fairings worked well but I couldnt figure out a way to mount the front end on in a stable manner. How did you go about using the monster kickstand as well?

First thing first that car is nowhere even close to the GT-R, It is a Toyota Mark X. Toyota mad a series of cars here in Japan called the Chaser & the Mark Series. Basically its a family sedan with either a 1JZ or 2JZ engine (Single on twin turbo Supra engine). Then they F@%*ed the whole series up and made the Mark X and took out the turbo. So basically that car in the background is a really cool looking Camry. Meanwhile I do have a Chaser Tourer V that is a beast, I smoke R-33's and 34's regularly.

Now about the bike. It is hard to explain exactly what i did without pictures and taking all the fairings off but i will try my best.

To mount the upper fairing stay to the neck, I had to mount 2 "L brackets" to either side of the fairing stay. Then i put 2 "u bolts" around the neck and bolted them into the "L brackets". I triied a bunch of other thing but this way was the only way i could get the fairing stay to sit flush against the neck of the frame. If it dosnt sit flush nohing else will lign up and your lower fairing will hit you front tire when mounted. For the side fairings i fabricated brackets that wrap around the frame. This part is easy and anybody can figure out how to do the sides. As far as the kickstand goes i just had to cut a little bit of the fairings for that to work.

Now the tail section was a whole different story. First you have to remove the locking mechanism and the latch for the seat and mount those into the tail section before it is on the bike. I did it after and it was a pain in the ass. to attach the front i had to weld 2 tabs to the bottom side of the frame right under the seat and attach the front of the tail section there. For the rear I used to "S brackets" because the holes for the seat latch are a little narrower than the mounting holes for the tail. Once that is all bolted down you just have to put the seat on.

I seem to never take pictures while i am working, but next time I have to take anything off I will take pictures and post them here. All in all it took me about 1 month to get everything installed and about $1500 for all the parts. once i take pictures i will put up a parts list. the next thing i need to do is install a fan. The fairings are trapping a lot of heat and i need to blow it out of there. Ill keep you guys updated.

thanks for updating me on those. I knew at one time Toyota was competing with the R33-34s didn't realize they gave up.

Yeah, Toyota actually won that competition over here. A lot of the locals wouldnt even look twice at a 33 or 34. now they will drive a GT-R or a 32 with $10K in upgrades, but mostly the 1jz and 2jz rein supreme over here. Movies and media just made the skyline desirable in the states, so pretty much only americans drive them over here. Before i got her i was going to get a skyline as soon as i stepped off the plane, but quickly changed my mind when i saw all the N/A skylines and 4 door skylines and the 33 & 34 rust buckets that people just dump bolt on parts into and think its fast. I got my 1jz with intake and FM intercooler and it faster than most of these skylines with $5k dumped into them. And it looks a hell of a lot better.
