On a completely different subject... that's what this is for right??... Jordan from A/AMS called me today and wonder of all wonders the 916SPS is finally finished! [thumbsup] [clap] The new, normal SPS street cams made all the difference in it being streetable. Out came the lumpy, radical race cams that the previous owner had Jeff install when he built the motor and in went the standard SPS cams... tadaaa! It's now actually rideable on the street!

It idles like it should (not like a top fuel dragster) and according to Jordan's street test ride it doesn't constantly stall out at anything other than full throttle. It now can hold a steady throttle setting, as in maintaining a normal, in-town street legal speed like 45mph without bucking and spitting. All good stuff. It may not be making the awesome peak horsepower anymore but who cares? Hell it made more top end power than my full Termi'd 999! She's a beauty and needs to be ridden and it's been a shame to not ride her to some of our "events" because of her issues. Seeing ***'s (aka:cdc) SPS at get togethers always bummed me out because I couldn't have ridden mine too. Now I can! All is well and my two wheeled universe is now back in alignment.

Brian, that is excellent news  [thumbsup]  Let's start (O.K. 'you' start or somebody  start  ;D  ) a new lunch/get together thread for next week sometime - I can't wait to see that bike AND hear it run like a "normal" dry clutch, bad-ass bike should  8)

BRING IT  [evil]

cdc

I can bring it's twin (pun intended).  ;D

That is good news indeed.  Note that they finished your bike after they worked on Cory's bike.   ;D

BTW Brian do you have the old slipper clutch that you replaced?  I was interested in taking it apart to learn from it.  Let me know how much you want for it.

I will give you that paper weight any time you want it! Jeff even told me in a moment of truth/no customer BS/honesty that those old EVR/STM slippers were pieces of shit when he raced on them years ago. They would go toast all the time. A constant replacement item. You are welcome to have the cursed thing! I will gladly bring it on Saturday, maybe give it to Cory as a "cursed" farewell gift! As long as I never see that piece of s#@t again that's fine with me... leaves that more space in my storage bldg for good stuff!! [thumbsup]

Can't wait to ride her streetable hotness to a meeting. Getting tired of you being the only SPS rider in the mob! [laugh]
