Hey all, I've seen posts for converting to clip-ons, but when I go to woodcraft's site, they only recommend their adapter plate that bolts onto the existing top triple. I prefer the look of a new triple and clip ons, but has anybody tried both? Pros? Cons? Price looks fairly similar, the adapter plate just looks kinda awkward to me. Is it the same in person? Thanks all!

I did both, I changed from 3" risers on the forks to the adapter for a couple different reasons.  The adapter plate is generally fugly but I found that paint makes a world of difference.   I had black painted the top triple earlier, then just painted the riser when I put it back on and now it doesn't look that bad.  Some improvement in comfort for me but that's subjective, YMMV.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I realize I may lose some comfort with clipons, but for overall aesthetics it just fits. But you're right, fugly is a good word for the adapter plate. Thanks again!
