At least it's still an Italian V Twin.

Well I tried to help once more ... and surprisingly I think I was doing alright. Until I mentioned the clutch fluid probably needed to be changed too ... and I think I jinxed us.

So we are not quite done ... but if anyone wants to know I can post some progress piccies.

I know exactly how you feel. I wanted to put an oil cooler on my 695, so I bought an oil cooler on ebay and some oil lines. Then because I couldn't find one on ebay I bought a rocker cover with the mount for an oil cooler from commoto, plus all the random plumbing bits and mounting hardware.

I naively thought I could reuse my oil temp sensor, but there is absolutely no way that thing is parting company with my existing rocker cover. So now I've gotta order more parts.

Thankfully this isn't stopping me from hooning around on my bike and squaring off the rear tyre on our awesome 90km bends.

So post up pics anyway, I'm sure it's cool.

I think we all know it can't have been men's business ... you all know who has been doing the work.

Should I start another thread? I tend to write a lot.

50,000 km's valve clearances yesterday. Done by koko64. Only two shims needed changing.

We've had trouble with the bolt that retains the timing belt pulley/roller. Pain in the rump. It has been helicoiled a few times, but I now need to get a time sert put in, as the helicoils are not up to holding the full torque value needed.

In spite of that mega hassle, we had a great day together working on the bike.

I also installed my stainless bolt kit that I've had for a while. A few bolts didn't fit right, being too long, so I've got to get a few more to properly finish the job.

Cheers,

GK

Well the thread title is 'what did you do?'

What I did was wheel it outside and take a photo ... so is this the correct thread? I posted what I did.
