What is it worth?

My buddy is looking to upgrade from a Suzuki GS500e...

Please advise.

$5k is a fair price from dealer for a what looks like a clean, low mileage bike.  See if you can negotiate the 6kmi service in the sale.  Usually costs $4-600, belts will need changing if they are original.  Check the pegs, barends, and other pertruding parts for signs of a fall.  Good luck!

Most importantly... ride the  [bacon] out of it!

I bought my '02 750s i.e. last August from a private seller for $5k. It had just 650 miles on it. As it had been sitting, I made sure to do some work to it (new belts, fluids, tires) but I think I got a pretty good deal on it.

I think $5,400 from a dealer, as long as it has all of the service history, is a good deal. I agree with trying to negotiate the 6k service in the sale, or if it needs new tires, knock off a few hundred.

Yup I got an 02 M750ie Dark with 300 miles on it for $4700. Great bike, mine too has an oil leak though. Got mine from a rich kid that didn't want his "toy" anymore

I got my '03 M1000sie this March for $5000.00 w/ 12k miles.  $5000 seems a little high but it's not the best time to be buying.
