I have only taken heavier passengers.  The heaviest one was 2 and 1/4 times my weight.  Just take it easy and remember the rear brake is your friend. [thumbsup]

:o 2 and a quarter times? Jebus, that must have messed with your conditioned responses.

i've given chubby chicks rides. the bike handled a bit oddly with the added weight, and the shift in placement, but if you keep to a "short, unexciting" ride it shouldn't be a big issue.

really, the limited physical area is the biggest issue. i just say no when i think they might swallow my seat up... 8)

i'm giving my '+1' to the short ride around the block, followed by a long stretch of being very busy.

Welcome to the DMF.

I'm actually quite impressed that we managed to keep this post somewhat polite and constructive.

My vote is for the short ride AND telling how you feel/don't feel about her. Be honest without hurting her and allow her and yourself to move on.

You could suck it up and sleep w/ her, then you won't have to give her a ride on the Ducati Monster.

[laugh]  That does sound like the more honorable thing.  Sacrifice my own body (and mentality) for the good of my Duc.  If the Italian's ever had mythology in their history I'm sure their gods would look upon me with favor for that one.   [thumbsup]

She is a friend and I don't wanna crush her delicate feelings (she goes to counseling an all).  So I think I'll just give her a little stroll around the block and just leave it at that.  The deal is I just got done telling her, about 3 months ago, that I'm only interested in her as friends.  I think she's been watching too many romantic movies where the persistent woman eventually wins over the man.

Well thanks for all the wise counsel here.  I guess my main question has been answered here: yes it is totally possible to ride with a passenger that's heavier.  I'll let you all know how it went... if it ever happens.

Don't look at this.

Whenever she asks you for a ride, distract her with some  [bacon].

This.

Don't demean yourself by associating with emotionally defective obese people.

lol jk... do what you think is best, but don't even passively lead her on either, cause that could be worse than just flat out telling her that you don't like fat chicks.
Speed is always relative.

Bbrent

keep the rear seat cover on at all times.

The first block or so was a bit wobbly but after that I adjusted quite quickly.

The good thing is the added weight allows me to flat-foot my bike. [cheeky]

Want her to not 1) ride on the bike and 2) chase you? It's easy. Let her on the back, pull out of the parking lot....

whack open the throttle, and leave her in the street. Problem solved.

Were you disappointed that I hung on even after you knocked my feet off the pegs? ;)

He Man

a) tell her shes too fat
b) have her sit on it, then slice ur tires and say the bike says no. Seriously its only $120. besides you need new tires anyway right?
c) pass her onto a friend whos okay with the big easy girls. besdies big girls need loving too.
d) Think about your jewles being rammed into the tank.

The best ride i ever gave to a girl was someone who was 5'11 125lbs (im 5'6 155lbs). When she sat on my bike, and had her arms on the tank it was like i was riding solo! She was very bony and when she held onto me, i felt like i was going to crack a rib. :-X

speaking of ribs!

see that is cooll. thin tall bony chicks is always a good thing, so long as they are not anorexic, but just really thin that is cool

Nope.

Either do some Hoggin' or let her know.  or both. Maybe a rodeo if you let her know while your Hoggin'.

I actually had a sticker like the one posted earlier on the back of my helmet...even better if you Sharpie a max weight of 125lbs on the sticker.

I have to agree with fwtcc...you have the potential to broaden your horizons and go hoggin'...I've done it...maybe not too proud of it...but always an opportunity to try some "new weird stuff" you wouldn't ever try on a hottie.  :o

... I'm totally cool with my friends saying "You remember when William bit it?!  That was awesome!  How do you explode in a fireball while being crushed under a waterfall?!  I don't think I'll beat that..."
