Its funny because I have something similar except it looks like a cannon and has a 3/4 bore.

Made it back in machinist school along with some .745 aluminum slugs we shot at a 55 gallon drum that was out back of the school.

Big boom. Big hole. No sign of the slug. Instructor hurried us back inside shaking his head.

Got a new toy up and running.  I scored a pretty big heated ultrasonic parts washer at the auction and just got it wired and tested today.

I filled it with just hose water.  The heater and ultrasonics both work great.  I ran an old oil yellowed aluminum valve body through it for 10 minutes in 105 degree water and it just about looks new!

I'ts big enough to easily do a whole big block cylinder head or intake.

I am impressed.

Yes as Iong as you understand it would be wrong to clean that bike.

I thought I'd ask a potentially stupid question here.  I'm not informed enough to know if it is stupid.  So, everyone agrees that the Ducati round case desmo 750 is one of the most beautiful moto engines ever.  How hard would it be to make more of them, for someone that owns a machine shop? Is it "put in a couple late night and weekends" hard or more like "hire four or five engineers, and 10 or so draftsmen (or draftswomen), buy a foundry and  hire fifty more people to pour, machine and assemble" hard?  or is it even harder than that?
