My bike is finished

No joke, it is. Maybe aside from some front suspension work.

How my M750 looked when I bought it:

First thing I did was chop the tail and remove the turn signals, rear hugger, and tank pad and added a Roadracing full exhaust. Then I backed into it in my driveway like a jackazzand was inspired to transform it completely rather than just be content fixing the dented tank. So it got a coat of SEM "Hot Rod" black, and from there:

- A 900 Supersport engine swap. The engine was sourced from eBay for $250 plus shipping and looked like this when I got it:

After a valve job, complete top end rebuild, clean up and paint she looked like this:

The final rebuild also included:

- Keihin FCR's
- Pod filters
- IMA upper and lower triples
- Bitubo XZE 2 way adjustable monoshock in red
- Rizoma rearsets
- LSL carbon fibre bars
- Ducabike slipper clutch in red
- CTMOTO clutch cover
- Sargent seat
- Ducabike slave cylinder
- Ducabike gas cap
- LED 3 eye headlight
- Oberon billet turn signals
- Ducati Performance shorty aluminum front fender
- Shorty billet adjustable levers
- A bunch of other billet bling I'm forgetting about

And now looks like this:

Now my $ gets saved for either an S4r, M1100, or 848 Streetfighter...haven't decided which. In the meantime I'll just ride the piss out of this Frankenmonster.

good job....but as of right now....you only "think" it is finished....I see a potential for a couple/few other things.

Please share! SSS conversion? :P The swingarm is the only thing that really "bothers" me atm..

Yes. The 750 would stay firm on the ground WOT in first gear. Between the 900 and the FCR's I can get the front tire up in 3rd if I wack it open, easily in 1st and 2nd. I'd like to have it dyno'ed.

One of these days I will pick up an old I4 Jap bike to hone my skills at the track with, until then I have no need for more power on the street. My skill level is still modest.

I agree about the lack of thrill with that swing arm. Instead of doing a single sided, what about a newer double sided? I think would up the visual on the bike and hopefully spare all the work of converting to single sided. I do like the Ducati sticker on the one side, why not put one on the other side?

Thanks for the affirmations everyone! My dumb ass wouldn't have been able to do any of this if not for this board.

Hrrm. That's a good idea. Does anyone know what swingarms would bolt right up? Weren't all DS engines built with the same SA mounting accommodations? This Radical Ducati swingarm...mm mm mmmmm. The 00 and newer SS swingers look good also.

Plus I'd be able to fit the shorty CF hugger I've always wanted. That thing is just nasty lookin'. I guess I'm not done after all...

wait a damn minute...I bet I'd need a new rear shock despite having JUST bought a new Bitubo... [bang]

I was thinking more things like upgrading that master cylinder for starters...I know you are looking into getting a more adjustable front end...that Radical Ducati Swinger is damn sexy....and well...this all comes back to what I said about how you "think" you are done...but you aren't...
