I got an x-ray today and, sure enough, I have a cracked rib from the low-side. It seemed to be getting better, but I twisted in my sleep last night, heard a pop and today it hurts to freakin' breathe!

I need someone to swing by after work and help me get this damn grip off of the left clip-on. I have an air compressor but I can barely pull on the damn thing without my rib screaming in pain.

The standard payment of beer and moto talk is in effect.   

I'll even let you see my wife and her friends nearly naked this Friday for the low-low price of $15.

hmm....while i'm pretty sure i already qualify for that last point, i can come on over and help out after work today.  would be probably around 5:30 when i could get there at the earliest.

I can help ya out... although I haven't taken grips off before.  So I take no liability if I destroy them in the process.

Sounds like you've got this covered. I'd like to help but Jen and I have to go see a play that Colin is in tonight. Sorry about the rib. I have cracked and severely bruised ribs on different occasions. Like my Doctor said, they hurt the same whether they are bruised, cracked or broken. DO NOT sneeze or cough! You will wish you were dead! Ask Swanny about this. He was the latest hurt rib victim around here until you. Takes a while to really heal up and stop hurting too. They are slow to mend. Good luck and take it easy.

I swapped some grips out this weekend using that method. Super easy. I could swing by but I'm sure McKraut can do it in 5 minutes and have the rest of the evening open for beers.

All you need is a teaspoon of liquid soap and two fingers.  Pick up one end of the grip, rub some soap or WD40 in there and start twisting.  Comes off like Buttah!

I'll give the soap a shot, but the WD40 seems like it'd stay in there fo-ev-ah. Probably lead to the grip spinning around a bit on the new clip on.

PS dont forget to rinse soap off when time to remount grip. You can PM me the pics.  :-)

Good luck with the rib man.  Mine still hurts when I lay on my left side and I injured it back in February.

Hurt ribs suck!!!  They hurt worse than when I broke three vertebra in my back.
