:o well that is why there is a time and place for everything. I don't find many places I'll open it up that far anymore. I have to Thundercat style "sight beyond sight". Only idiots like Ghost Rider do it in traffic. So much can go wrong so quickly, you have to minimize the risks to yourself and others.

I know.  I've only gone that fast once and I was being left in the dust by Shadowchaser's 1098 so relatively speaking, I was dogging it.  Funny thing was, we passed DucDucGooseMe like he was standing still since he had left before us and was just leisurely toodling home through the canyon on I-40.   We had the whips to the leather when we blazed by him.   Felt good to blow the carbon out of the pipes.  But muscle memory prohibits me from repeating such tomfooolery at this stage of my riding career.  (Glad I have a name for it now).   [cheeky]

I'm not sure what the Dragon will top out at, but I paid a toll of $1.35 on I-40 back while I still owned it.  I am a shade lighter than WDB so I could probably get a little more out of it.  There was a crosswind that made the front end get kind of skittery at that point.  Still had some left, but backed off.  My nerves of steel buckled before he did.

Anymore adventures, Smitch?  I enjoyed reading about them thoroughly.   ;D  They were pretty impressive, but I'll bet you've never caught your grunders in the chain:

something tells me this isn't what you meant by grunders... ^ had to post the link... the actual definition is just too rank to post outright.    [puke]  [leo]  [clap]

the smileys might make more sense after reading the definition   ;)

OH MY GOD!!!     :o :D :-[  Suffice it to say, no I most emphatically did not realize the current usage of that word.  Wait till I tell my little brother since I stole it from him.  Glad you posted it since I'd never have believed it otherwise.  That is too bizarre to make up.  I thought it was a combination of "go unders".

Heffay,

Thanks much for not posting the actual definition!  Who the heck thinks up such things anyway?

So Heffay, I just have to ask...Did you already know this definition and thought you would enlighten the rest of us?  In which case, remind me not to sit next to you at the next meeting. ;D Or are you just an innocent victim :o looking up the definition of a word you never heard before?

Heffay

yep... just an innocent victim of the internet here... actually, google grunder or grunders and thats the only hit of any worth... how much worth i'm still figuring out.   [bang]

So, really, what did the first night of grundering look like?

Brandi Mae: "You boys want some of my sweeeeeet tea?"
Merl: "Ya know Brandi Mae, we be just a bit bored.  This here rerun of Dukes of Hazzard is wearin my britches"
Bobby Joe Bob: "Yeah Brandi Mae, me too.  Hey, Brandi Mae, you make some good sweet tea. [looks at the tv where Daisy is bent over the General Lee pouring oil into it with a funnel]

Bobby Joe Bob: "Hey Merl, I got me an idea"

....the rest is redneck history

Well, I'm here to tell you that there is a vast difference in the meaning of grunders between Georgia and those Norwegions up there in Minnesota, dontcha know?  It's not even a verb.   I think the urban dictionary plundered the Vikings storehouse of obscure nouns and decided to appropriate grunders randomly.

Hey, WDB, is this the time to insert the "pregnant giraffe"  phrase?  Or what the heck was it?
The Smelly Pirate Hooker

Scottish

??? pregnant giraffe? What in the name of all that's holy are you going on about?

bonfy

I don't know, you told me you wanted to see how long it would take to move a random phrase from nothingness into a major hit on google.  It was something you were doing on one of your other bike forums.  Or was it elephant fetus?  C'mon!!! We just had this conversation less than three weeks ago.

Hey Smitch!  Lest we be accused of never referring to your topic, anything new on the squidish front?   :-[
