The parts turned out wonderful & a great write up as always.  I have been wanting to try out anodising myself, it is nice to see that good results can be had at DIY.  Can this be done to the fork bodies? I have heard that they would need a hard anodising, not sure if that is due to them being clamped or more exposed, but your statement about the less available colors for hard has me wondering.

was just wondering if you think one of my many inexpensive power supplies I use to power my tattoo machines would be suitable. Not lab power by any means..

There is another thread explaining the three types of anodizing but my search mojo is out of kilter today so I Googled for this basic description.

Ya, should be fine, at least for smaller parts.
