Friend of mine got proposed to tonight.

By a guy she dated more than a decade ago.

I got to explain why she isn't a bad person for saying no.

While I was in the process of getting a decent buzz going with some friends.

Which turned into me highlighting some of my more regrettable moments as a human being in an effort to make her feel better about herself.

Not sure either one of us came out of that encounter smelling like roses.
