i don't understand the issue. you can crop ("zoom in," use a smaller portion of) an image, but if you "zoom out," you end up with black bars.

why would you want to do that?

Just got the Update. I think it turned my Blue tooth on. But I may have forgotten to turn it off.

anyone figure out how to crop a picture to use as wallpaper? 

It does seem pretty zoomed in. Ive tried a few different ones. It looks like if you crop your photo on a regular computer then send it to the iPad it works. some of the Hi res stuff is just really close up.
