I read all of his books when I was in the navy back in the late 80s. The submariners on our ship loved how close to the truth they were.

I just read Clear and Present Danger.

66? Looking at the pictures of him on the book jackets from the 1980's I thought that he was 66.

I haven't read any of his books since getting out of the navy. May have to go get his last one. His books always got good reviews.

Anyone read Vince Flynn's books with his Mitch Rapp character? I got sucked into those big time a couple years ago. He passed this year from cancer. Only in his 40s.

Great writer! I have read Clear & Present Danger, Red Storm Rising, Red October, and Executive Orders. I think my Dad's read almost all of his stuff.
