And back to subject... [roll]

I have to agree with Heath and Duccarlos that the S2r is a great motorcycle... [bow_down]

well it was my intro to the ducati brand in 2005... [thumbsup]

250 single...I'd use a widecase 5-speed model.  60 plus MPG...maybe as much as 75 MPG if you're gentle.  If I'm a courier fuel is my largest cost, probably.  Why not ride something economical?

Of course, if I don't have to stick to a Ducati I'd probably get a Ninja 250 for the same task.  ;)

"Best two-bike garage" very much depends on where you live and your chosen riding styles.

Depending on how I feel.....

Good looking CroMo!   My girl friend would love riding that Harley though  :P

that's actually an m750 with a full road racing italia kit. Thanks though!

Lol,  I did not get past the tank.  Guess I should pay a bit more attention  [bang]   You did a really nice job on both bikes.  I hope to have my uncles original 68 HD fully restored, running and should have pics up by spring.  All bikes are awesome.  Except these:

Got any more porn pics of that RR M750 DPaine?  [drool]

I do, there's a post in the "introduction" section called "here's some pics of my duc" or something like that, there are a few more angles, and plently more where that came from. I actually just picked it up, so I'd be excited to take more pics if there's anything in particular you'd like to have a close look at.

OT

For this 'hypo'thetical ride I'd go with an A/C Hypermotard -- although I enjoy my M1000, nearing 60 I'm finding the back and legs start complaining sooner than they used to....

1200 Multistrada and KTM 500EXC...throw in a set of SM wheels/slicks for the KTM and you can do it all.

they are smoking some crack on #'s 2,4,6 and possibly 8 ( though admittedly, #8 was an inherently dangerous machine with that piano hinged frame, but that was kind of the heritage/mystique with that machine)

They are definitely smoking crack...

particularly in reference to the RD.

It was the finest bike of it's era.

The Zook was a great moto-x bike for it's time. Not the quality of the Euro bikes, but great for the price.

The H-2 was just insane. What's wrong with that?

Ah...  The TM400, also known as the widow maker.  Incredible ride.  I lust after the dual sport version (TS400) from that era to go with my TS185.  The issue with the TM that made it dangerous was sometimes its rudimentary ignition advance would start kicking in at random RPMs.  That could certainly create a few pucker effect moments.  Nothing like a 400cc 2-strok blasting blasting into the powerband without warning  [evil]

That is so the engineer thing to say. So, so practical.

Ask Cloner what he rides.

The only 2 of those bikes I would kick out of my garage are the Piaggio..

..and the "Boss Hoss." LOL.
