I don't put up pictures of all the crappy looking parts we normally send out ;D

Well, some stuff broke down and it's going to cost me a ton of cash.

My first lathe needs the spindle motor rewound.  The spindle and motor are integral so the whole unit is on a skid right now waiting on FedEx freight to get here.

There goes $15,000 I hadn't earned just yet.

That's life in the big city.

Might want to check with your insurance company.  I run a commercial HVAC company and we've had many customers place claims for equipment failures and get paid.  I'm sure it depends on your policy/ coverage/ other factors but never hurts to try to get it covered.

I have insurance and it should be covered but no guarantee.

Did you figure out what caused the motor failure?  Did it have to go back to the factory for the rewind, or could an independent motor repair shop handle it?  Is that a Haas?  I know that's a dumb question, I don't know much about CNC machines.

Best of luck getting things back up and running.
